Swiss Exams now provides IELTS for UKVI

There are five types of these tests, each serving a different purpose. Let´s find out more about the reasons, why to take each one:

• IELTS for UKVI (Academic): to study at the undergraduate or postgraduate levels, or in case of seeking professional registration in the United Kingdom.
• IELTS for UKVI (General Training): for those who want to relocate to the UK, train, or study at a lower level than a bachelor's degree.
• IELTS Life Skills A1: to demonstrate their English Speaking and Listening skills as part of their application to UK Visas and Immigration for Sportsperson (T2), Representative of an Overseas Business, or Family visas.
• IELTS Life Skills A2: to demonstrate English Speaking and Listening abilities as part of the application to UK Visas and Immigration for a Family visa extension. Whereby this exam is available in the United Kingdom only.
• IELTS Life Skills B1: designed for people who need to demonstrate their English Speaking and Listening abilities as part of their application to UK Visas and Immigration for Citizenship or Settlement visas.

Format of IELTS for UKVI tests

The IELTS for UKVI and Skills tests follow the same format as standard IELTS (IELTS Academic and General Training). The biggest difference between conventional IELTS and IELTS for UKVI in terms of test format is that the UKVI version is video recorded.
