At this year’s Annual Spring Seminar 2020 we will be looking at how to empower your learners by giving them the necessary strategies to become better learners in the classroom and more independent learners when on their own. The challenge will be to work on a combination of knowledge and skills as well as students’ attitudes and an understanding of how to take control of their learning.

Free Workshop with John Potts following from the webinars: Vocabulary and Grammar in B2 First and C1 Advanced

In this practical workshop we will look at a range of language needs in the two exams with a focus both on the various “Use of English” tasks and the wider aspects of vocabulary and grammar across the papers. There will be ideas for classroom approaches and activities as well as an overview of some useful resources and tools.

All our workshops include an afternoon break with food and drinks. We believe that the professional exchange and networking at these events is important and allow plenty of time for such interaction.

The focus will be a comparison of the changes to the Key and Preliminary exam and the effect this will have on classroom teaching and exam preparation.

In this practical workshop, we will, following on from the webinar, try out ways in which the changes to the Key and Preliminary exams are incorporated into our classroom teaching with practical examples and combined with possible digital tools.
