Your Cambridge English Certificate Is Getting an Update
From 6 April 2026, two changes apply to Cambridge English results documents.
Test day photo on the Statement of Results. The Statement of Results will now display the candidate’s test day photo. This is mandatory for B2 First, C1 Advanced, and C2 Proficiency, and recommended for all other qualifications where the result will be used for university admission, employment, or immigration purposes.
Clearer wording on results documents. Both the Statement of Results and the certificate have been updated with clearer language, particularly around what a Grade A means.
Nothing fundamental has changed. The skills assessed, the scoring, and the global recognition of Cambridge English qualifications remain identical. Existing results stay fully valid.
Action required for schools. For schools managing block registrations through Swiss Exams Access: photo capture must be confirmed for all B2 First, C1 Advanced, and C2 Proficiency candidates ahead of registration. Cambridge’s regulations are explicit — candidates who refuse a test day photo on exam day may be unable to sit the exam or will not receive a result. This is a compliance requirement, not a recommendation. Please ensure this is communicated to candidates and confirmed before session registration is finalised.
